Default Garnish molding question

Just tried to install the garnish moldings on 28 coupe. They did not want to go into place. ? Do they need to be installed before you install the windshield? If so, then I have performed another OOPS!

on my ccpu the garnish mouldings had to be in before the windscreen hinge as well as the windshield.

Lawrie might be right. I installed my garnish/windshield on my 28 coupe about a year ago and vaguely remember I had to install the garnish before the windshield and I believe the hinge without messing up the top part of the garnish. I am not 100% sure, but I believe that is what I had to do it. Remember to run the wire for the electric wiper inside the right windshield garnish before you install the garnish, assuming you have an electric wiper. Removing the windshield is not a tough job to do, but it is a two person operation.

I managed to install the w/s garnish by holding the w/s up high & putting them in from the front. Still got a couple of scrapes on them. (won't be the last scratch before i'm done)
