Default 52 Merc 2dr Hardtop Rear Side Window Removal

I need to remove the rear side windows on my 52 Merc hardtop. I've been studying it and I have a good idea about how to do it. I'd like to hear from someone who's done it. I'm assuming 52-54 Ford/Merc are the same. Anyone removed them?
Thanks,
Rob

Rob

Have never done it on a 52-54 Merc exactly.

Seems like you cut the old seal with a razor blade and

push it out from the inside.

Most people in Arkansas are pretty practical so

you've figured out to put a cardboard box under so it

doesn't break? Right?

Have a nice day!

If you are talking taking the whole frame out of the car, you need to remove the shaft out of the hinge,, There is a 1/4 20 thread on the end, put a long screw in it, loosen the set screw and pull the shaft.. It should come out then. A roller on the other end that rides in the half moon track you will have to deal with.

Sorry, I meant rear 1/4 window with the metal frame used only by hardtop and convertible. . I got it out but It wasn't the right way I'm sure. Thanks,I'll try taking the pivot out. I also broke one of the slotted adjustment studs so I'll need to make a new one. Hopefully it goes in easier.
