Default 35 Ford door pull handle

Does anyone have a pic of how and where this door pull handle gets installed?

This should be easy.

Remove the window frame and pull back the top of the door panel about an inch. You should see two raised humps in the door metal with holes. shove nails through the door panel to mark each hole. Use 1/8"x 3/4" oval-head sheet metal screws to attach the robe. Sometimes the holes have been enlarged over time requiring a wider screw. If painted I use a dish washer/cup between the screw bottom and the rope end piece to avoid cracking the paint.

Here's a few photos of the pull cords installed. I believe that they were installed with oval slotted machine screws.

May I ask where you got the door pulls, and do you like the quality. Paul

I am surprised with the angle of your armrest. Is your car a 35? Is that correct?

I was going to install my new armrest in a straight line, parallel to the top of the door frame.

Were there two possible positions for the pull? From the looks of the holes it was originally in rearmost position (yellow circles).

I can't speak for others with arm rest locations but with every stock '35-'36 I have seen has a rectangle hole cut into the door metal for the arm rest clip to hang on. Unless you cut a new location for the hook to grab you are stuck with the angular location.
