Re: Ford Script 600x16 Tire ID
Is this a trick question?
If they are authentic (very doubtful) they are FORD tires, manufactured by Ford. Intended to be primarily installed on Ford products, mostly passenger cars, 1937 - 1948. Much more likely they are more recent reproductions made by one of the major tire manufactures (Firestone and / or Goodyear) for the after-market consumer.

Kube, not a trick question.
I have not seen a set like this before, thus my question. I'm trying to find out if they are Ford or repop and if repop who is/was selling them. Last edited by 2935ford; 05-05-2013 at 08:24 AM. |

Re: Ford Script 600x16 Tire ID
Look at the very small words on the tires. "Newer" tires have date codes as well as highway safety ratings. If those are on there, they are newer "repops".
Also, look at the construction content... that will be on there as well. If you find "nylon" as one of the contents, the tires are "newer" repops.

In that case they are later replacement tires. New, these run about $160 each if I recall correctly.
