Door handle on a 1930 Coupe
Can anyone assist with this please: I removed a door handle off a 1930 Coupe, and the parts that came off were in poor condition, and I suspect were assembled in the wrong order. I now have a new cup and spring (A-702350-R), but have no idea how these are fitted to the handle. The Les Andrews red book is lacking a decent diagram of where these fit.

Re: Door handle on a 1930 Coupe
The shaft has a crimped area keeping the washer and spring in place.
Before filing the crimped area flat to dissassemble drill a hole thru the shaft the size of a small cotter pin to maintain the spring tension. The Mafca how to restore series of reference articles is where you will find the restoration of the handles. Pm me if you have trouble getting the article. |
