I think somewhere on here somebody posted a picture of a switch tapped into the rear of an A tower.I think that one was something they had rigged up to kick out the overdrive, but there is no reason you couldn't rig a stoplight switch in there to run some lights.I've backed up trailers dozens of times by riding the brake pedal just enough to kick on the brake lights, but not hard enough to send enough air to kick the brakes on.The old drivers used to tell me there were three things involved in backing up trailers in the dark. The brake lights, sound, and feel.Sound and feel were the things you backed into.

I saw a Man backing up his Model A, while his Wife was shining a MODERN, BRIGHT flashlight back there!!!
I saw a commercial, where you can get 2 for the price of 1, IF you call within the next 27 SECONDS & pay an EXTRA handling CHARGE!!! (WHUT A DEAL!!)
NOW, to check the WEATHER in N.Y. City (My Daughter's there on vacation)

Two wives? Why would I want that? Sure, the light for backing up would be great, but that is too high a price to pay for some extra light...

After reading the posts, I'm now motivated to add a back-up light although I don't expect to do much night driving. Backup camera and blind spot monitor -- probably not.

Saw some old pickup, with a rear facing HEADLIGHT on top of his cab. I "wonder" if it had HIGH & LOW beams??? He could BLIND a Cop!

Dunno if it's true but I've heard some drivers trading in their T for a new A complained there was no "back-up pedal"

Older unit that had a fiber type cord, runs off a toggle switch.
