Re: '40 coupe painting question: doors on or off?
I painted my 40 years ago with the doors and trunk lid "on".
It was a lot easier as I had no helper and was worried I would never get the doors to fit correctly if I removed them. Didn't know any better. Used NAPA Martin Senor 8800 Black Acrylic Enamel with urethane hardener. Last edited by 19Fordy; 02-10-2016 at 07:25 PM. |

Oh, okay. Now I get it.
I tend to (try my best) to lay it down flat so as to avoid "texture".

Re: '40 coupe painting question: doors on or off?
One problem with painting with doors on is actually seeing the door edges and jamb surfaces well enough to lay it down and avoid the dreaded texture.
