Wheel studs
Can anyone tell me where I can get the right wheel studs for a 48 passenger car. I ordered some from Joblot before they went out of business and the shoulder is to long, wheel won't draw tight to drum. Thanks

Re: Wheel studs
I found some usable studs when I did a Buick drum conversion. Everything was fine but the serrations were too long. I flattened some lockwashers and put them under the heads and all fit fine. I wish I could give you the numbers but the parts were sold.

Re: Wheel studs
I think I will follow corvette suggestion and machine off about 3/32 of the shoulder. Thanks to everyone who took the time to help. Rick

Re: Wheel studs
I did not do anything with them, was looking for studs with shorter shoulder.

Re: Wheel studs
I looked in the green book and it shows the shoulder between .43" and .51" of the
different studs. Bob |

Re: Wheel studs
Bob C, the book shows 3 different sizes for 40-48. No one shows .43, have found .47, will try that one thanks for your input.

Re: Wheel studs
The right studs are out there. Got mine from the late Dick Spadaro. No swagging involved.

Re: Wheel studs
Bob, I think the 51A- 1107 for the front would work. Thanks to all you guys that go out of your way to help, it is really appreciated.
