Default 1930 Cabriolet on Craig's List - $12,500

I was looking through Craig's List here in Atlanta for a Model T truck for a friend, and came across the following listing. I know nothing about this car and am not in any way making any endorsement (other than it appears to be a fairly nice start from the pictures) for a 1930 Cabriolet. If I did not already have a 68C in my project line, I might consider this one ... for what its worth. I copied the description from the Atlanta Craig's List and posted it below. Perhaps this might be a good project for someone looking to add one of these gentlemen to their stable. Seller's cell phone (text) is 678-665-5418.

Dick

For Sale

1930 Ford Model A Cabriolet. This car is 100% stock as far as I know. I estimate the restoration is 75% or better completed

This car would also make an awesome Street Rod- full fenders or Hi-boy Style!

I believe that I have most of the things (some used and some new) to put it together except the fabric for the top and interior fabric kit.

This car has zero rust. Running gear is rebuilt according to previous owner. See comments about engine below in this ad

It has new (factory color for this car) Andalusite blue body paint over black undercarriage and fenders

All wood is new (specific kit for this car) and professionally installed

It has a new (2017) 6V battery and new wiring harness

Interior seat wooden frame and new springs are included in the sale

Fuel tank has been professionally vatted / cleaned and has not had fuel in since. Brakes work fine and I assume that it would drive with gas installed and some fine tuning

Stock 4 cylinder engine runs good- it has been resealed and painted. The engine number does not match the body number. I will start the engine at showing

I have the top Landau bars which has new chrome plating as well as the factory top irons

All glass in the car is good and window mechanisms are complete

Sale includes 6 black powder coated factory wheels and 6 brand new Firestone Wide Whites (2017) from Coker tire. It has dual
side mount spares. Tires and tubes alone cost $1400 and are still in shipping packages. I have a quart of Tacoma Cream for the wheels and I intended to paint them. Receipt for the tires, tubes, and liners are included

Wheels and tires on the car as pictured are just rollers but all hold air

This car is currently registered in my name in Georgia (Nov 2018) insured. State of GA did not title any vehicle prior to 1963. Legal transfer of ownership in GA is Bill of sale from current registered owner. If you are out of state check with your DMV if you have questions about registration

I can deliver this car within reasonable (to me) distance

There is nearly every major bank in the immediate area. I am happy to meet the buyer there to secure their funds and do the cash transaction.

$12,500 (NEGO) or best cash offer with cash on the table. I am moving and this needs a new home ASAP

Phone number in last picture. Thanks for looking
