Did I miss something?
Saw the thread about the 32 five window this morning and was curious what happened?
Did it get deleted? |

Re: Did I miss something?
The comments started to get personal about one of the posters who supposedly had a friend who was a hot rodder or customizer who was planning to buy it, so I suspect the moderator deleted it. Personally, if you think someone is BSing or you don't agree with them, you might respectfully disagree, but don't resort to name-calling or impugning motives without knowing the person.

Re: Did I miss something?
I liked seeing the car, and was kind of disappointed that the new owner was going to "F*ck it up". I guess this is what it leads to. Too bad.

Re: Did I miss something?
Looks like $35,750.00 was the winning bid is what I saw.

Re: Did I miss something?
You have to wonder who did actually end up with the winning bid.

Re: Did I miss something?
Ralph I went to look at the car and bid on it. Is a nice car but not a pristine example.

Re: Did I miss something?
Winning bidder had to add 10% buyers premium and 6% Kentucky tax. About or over $40,000 grand total. If I had 40 large I would have bid. I love '32 5 windows.

Re: Did I miss something?
Very nice car for someone.
Any thoughts about the tires sitting in what appears to be some inches of silt? |

Re: Did I miss something?
I was wondering the same thing. Might be a flood area car. At first I thought the tires were flat but I think there is a layer of mud/sand/silt there.

Re: Did I miss something?
It was sitting in a dirt floor garage with flat tires so not a flood car. I picked up what I had bought yesterday and one of the staff said it went to PA and another said MA. It was picked up yesterday morning before I got there so didn't get to talk to the new owner. Really a nice car that I hope gets the attention it deserves. It was in the Springfield KY area and then went to Russell Springs both are about 30 miles from me and I didn't know about it until the auction! It didn't appear the owner was a car person as there wasn't any parts or tools to work on the car. He did have a six pack of 100 year anniversary Coke bottles which I managed to get.
