Smile Worth bottling.

That first new engine start up smell of hot paint and a trace of oil combined, with maybe a slight whiff of exhaust. It only lasts about 50 miles or so. One of the best smells ever. Pity they can't put it in a men's deodorant or aftershave.
Your thoughts folks.

I haven't had that expirience with my Model A yet, but I fly small twin engine (piston) 10 passenger size cargo planes for a living (single pilot) and whenever we install a new engine I can relate to the smell of hot paint with a whif of oil! But if you think spending 6k on a model A engine is bad, the ones on my airplanes cost over 30K for one side!

Yep, it's a great smell. I also like the smell of original interiors that mice haven't messed up, and the smell of model airplane engine exhaust. The smell of model trains and the smell of my dad's old electronics room were also great smells. And, don't forget the smell of the old grease and oil in the machine sheds of old farms.

I would love to bottle the smell of old gear lube from cars, trucks and tractors. It is an enchanting odor, nothing like the new stuff.

Add to these odors the hint of cigar smoke and hot #90 weight gear oil with the smell of a freshly started engine. Oh, the smell emitted from by-gone days exhausts of dirt track stock cars running a caster oil/high-test or av-gas mix.

Don't forget the whiff of a good Single Malt Scotch, or a Brandy to go with the cigar!
