1930 Town Sedan Update
One of our local club members has been working on getting their 1930 Town Sedan back in shape. The car had been professionally restored but had been heavily damaged when the building it was stored in caught fire and part of the ceiling fell on the car. They bought the car and Bill went to work on getting things back together. Bill has restored many cars over the years and this one has required all his skills.
I have put together a photo gallery of some of the work done so far. The car came back yesterday from one of our other members who did an outstanding job of getting the body back in shape and laying down a fine paint job. Several of us showed up today and helped get started on the top. Our goal is to have it all buttoned up in time for the meet in Iowa. Carma's Town Sedan.

Re: 1930 Town Sedan
Great photos, I'm sure everyone will enjoy seeing the process. Are there more to come? I would like to see the rest of the roof come together. It sure is a long way around a Town sedan, compared to a coupe!

Yes as we progress I will be updating the photo album. I will be adding 5 or six today as we nailed down the top.

Re: 1930 Town Sedan Update
Added the last shot of pictures on the top today. We wrapped it up this afternoon. What a mess but we got it. Next up will be putting the body on the frame.

Re: 1930 Town Sedan Update
Update: Well we are moving along. We have been concentrating on getting the interior done while we are waiting on a few more pieces from the painter. The headliner and windlace is installed and the doors are hung. Plans are to place the body on the frame Saturday. It's a real pleasure to watch this car come together piece by piece.

Re: 1930 Town Sedan Update
Tin Cup:
Photo #53 looks like a wool blanket has been cut to fit across the top (below the vinyl). Is this correct? A Model A friend of mine recently told me that he buys an Army surplus blanket (wool) and cuts it to fit immediately below the vinyl of any Model A that he restores, as the wool provides an extra temperature and sound barrier. Is that what's been done with the '30 Town Sedan? Texas Tom |

Re: 1930 Town Sedan Update
Yes it is at least 50 years old.
Update....Well 6 of us gathered this morning to place the body on the frame. It went smooth as silk. It's all about the prep.
