Default Fuel valve Victoria

Going to install a new fuel valve on my 31 Victoria. Going to drain tank & remove gas. Do I need to do anything after cleaning threads when installing new valve ? Teflon tape or anything like that .

I'd throw the Teflon tape in the rubbish bin and use Permatex #3.

I agree,

Teflon tape has caused many problems.

Not if you know how to use it. That said, more than once. I have pulled Blk iron gas line apart, and found 1/3 to 1/2 of the pipe blocked. Also seen big goobs of pipe dope inside the pipe, so the moral of the story is don’t put anything on the first two threads!
