Welcome to the barn!

As for jack stands, some do some don't, use them over the winter.

Put your jack stands inside 5 gallon buckets and set them as high as you can. Will help keep mice from climbing up the stands and getting inside. May not be 100 percent effective but should help.

Welcome to the Barn!

If you have nylon tires, taking the weight off will prevent flat spots.

If it were me, I would place jack stands against the frame. Front, near flywheel cover and in rear by the rear running board support brackets. Jack stands on the frame will give leaf springs a rest.

For the two operational vintage cars that we own, in the winter every couple of weeks or so I go out, start em', run em' and sometimes drive the vehicles around the circle here. Twice around is about a mile distance. The A Model Ford and old Mercedes diesel seem to like the exercise. From experience . . . if a car sits unused for even a relatively short time, the machine starts to deteriorate faster than if in use.
