OK!!! The rumble backrest tight on both sides now but....one of the d-nuts came out of it slot while screwing in the screw but was able to still get it down tight with slow turns.

I can sleep tonight now..............and plan my day tomorrow doing something else.

The old saying? Can't find the hole unless it has hair on it...

Rumble seats don't make good trunks. When Daddy and I went to Williamsburg for the MARC national meet in 2007 (gosh--was it really eight years ago?) we took the cushions out of the rumble to make more room for luggage. The little Playmate ice chest slid back to the rear and wedged under the closed deck lid, and we almost never got it open. I thought we were going to have to take the front seat out to get the stuff out of the rumble and clear the "clog." We finally got it to let go. Being short and fat also doesn't help when trying to use a rumble for a trunk. I wish I had a real trunk instead of a rumble seat in the standard coupe. Now a sport coupe, or a roadster, or a cabriolet are different.

Just think what she'll be like after Larry is done with her? While she's gone, I plan to get all my yard work done, garage items restoration done and when she comes back, we're going to be partying!!!!!

Most of us "been there, done that". Don't be so hard on yourself.

I bought my coupe with a trunk. I thought I would change it to a rumble seat at some point, but NO!! I love the trunk and will never change it.

As a Supervisor I told one of my employees to take a couple of Midol.
the employee got offended and took it up to my Boss.
My Boss read my the riot act...the whole time laughing his ass off.
