at 60. a wheel, Ild rather just buy a set of good rims off a rodder............

case in point- bought 4 19" rims on rollers at Carlisle- total price 30.

very nice rims.

I’ve not found coal slag (black diamond, etc) fine enough to do what I want it to do. If not fine enough it’s really rough on sheet metal; have to be cautious. So cautious I don’t use it

Ronn- a rare find for sure. Once in a lifetime I’d say!

I bought a siphon gun and a tub of sand from Tractor Supply to do two license plates. I spread a large sheet of plastic out in the back yard and masked up. I did the two plates which took a long time, but it worked well. I swept up the sand and ran it through a screen to put it back in the tub. I did this on a dry sunny day. Moisture in the sand will cause problems. I would NOT recommend this for wheels or any large parts. I have seen photos of people doing frames this way but I think their equipment is a lot better than the inexpensive stuff I bought.

I used plastic blasting media when i was removing paint and primer from aircraft wheels.
