Default 1960 falcon

Got a 1960 falcon I had had for many years . Finally getting around to complete and put on road again . Want to change rear end to disc brakes but there are no kits for 6 cyl 4 lug. I have herd that it is possible to use a ford ranger rear end it is with in about half inch of same width. I know I would have to go to 5 lug rims , just wanted to know if any one has done this before . Thanks for any help
