trunk rack
I am new to A's. trying to mount a luggage rack to a 2 door sedan with rear mounted spare--I think I need two brackets to move the luggage rack back from the spare---could some one school me on this?

Re: trunk rack
I just added a rack to my Tudor sedan this winter.
I bought the extension brackets needed from Snyder’s. Easy installation. Tom |

Re: trunk rack
Don't cheap out on the extension brackets!! Snyder's sells two versions. There is a bit of weight back there and it will move around with the cheapies.

Re: trunk rack
I have used the extension brackets that Bratton's sells and they are very well made and fit well.

Re: trunk rack
I have the good quality ones from Snyders. They have been on my car at least 20 years. The trunk still does not droop. When we go on trips we put our clothes in that trunk. A nice trunk just adds a little something to the looks of the car. It's like it gives it that finished look.

Re: trunk rack
I used the Heavy Duty brackets and then went over board and used Grade 8 Bolts to mount all of it!

Re: trunk rack
Alan, we used the heavy duty extension brackets from Snyder's. Trunk is full and sits fine.
The side brackets were loose so I added nylon washers to each bolt. No more rattle. Ed |

Re: trunk rack
I'm also using the Snyder's Luggage rack extension. Work and looks fine.
