On the matter that Tod mentioned in his post about interference between his headers and the webber manifold, I recently saw in NZ, a webber manifold with a hot box welded directly under the carby. Heat was by water taken from the top radiator hose and returned to the bottom one. The owner reduced the jet sizes with no loss of performance but better economy. Maybe that ugly plug underneath that Tod referred to could be used to hold a hot box on his new webber inlet manifold. It would be simple to make and install but would need to come with a set of smaller jets. Just thinkin out loud!
