George, this is the old Maggie show. They moved it about 5 years ago to this lot and for the good of the show. No more mud. The heat is still as bad.

Some of the store owners in Maggie Valley, NC (original Mountaineer show location) have hired an outfit from TN to come over and put on a show there this weekend in a cow pasture. I do not think it is going to be anything that anyone would be interested in attending. All of the locals will be at the Fletcher show.

Today was flea market vendor set up day. Show opens tomorrow, Friday. In a word it's HOT!!!! Don't forget your sunscreen and a hat. Gloves might be a good ideal if you are looking for anything metal. Good selection of Model A stuff as usual.

Special Note: there is construction work being done on the entrance ramp into the Ag Center parking lot so go slow and be careful. Lot's of workers and heavy equipment involved.

105 here. Wishing I were in Waynesville/Jonathan Creek at 3,000 feet. Missing "God's Country"!

I hit some good deals today. I found 2 cranks that are within .005 of stock for 20$ each and 5 oil tubes without dents for 2$ each but the best deal was 2 NOS 9" ford pressure plates still in the box with cosmoline on the face. I won't divulge their price but I expect to make money on them. There are still some good deals out there.

I got to Fletcher in the morning, over cast and nice. Found a couple of things. Also stopped at Maggie Valley. They had a nice swap meet there also. Found a couple more things there also.
