'40 1/2 ton pickup hood hinges
I have owned my '40 pu for 54 years now, and think the hood hinge fasteners have to be wrong!
I have 4 thread-to-head bolts on each side. I was just told the lower spring arm to cowl should be a special shoulder bolt, which I will get. Problem is, what is the factory installed fasteners in the other 3 holes? I am thinkin possibly a full diameter shank just wide enough for the free movement? |

The props used 1/4-20 shoulder screws upper, and mostly lower. 1940 cars used a prop that bolted to the cowl lower and it is possible some of those showed up on pickups. |
