Stock 32 V-8 fuel filter
Folks,
Putting a rebuilt Detroit Lubricator carb back on a stock 32 V-8 and would appreciate any thoughts on a fuel filter-location and NAPA fuel filter number. I'm thinking along the back frame rail, cutting the fuel line and connecting it in line. Any NAPA fuel filter numbers anyone uses? I have the stock fuel pump on top of the engine now, might convert to an electric fuel pump later in the same area as I'm thinking about putting the fuel filter along the rear frame rail but for now need to get it fired up and want to prevent gas tank particles getting in the carb. Would prefer not seeing it in the engine compartment between the fuel pump and carb. Any feedback? Thanks |

Re: Stock 32 V-8 fuel filter
I would try to find a glass bowl filter that will screw into the inlet of the
pump then the flex line into it. There are glass filters that use paper replacement filters. I don't like cutting the fuel line and fittings under the car. G.M.
