Yeah, and it doesn't have to be all that quiet!

That's to bad about Walt's computer, Walt's computer really is not that old, I know this because Maine was the last state in the country to go on line. I am trying to recall the year when Maine got computerized, I think it was around Walt's 74th birthday.

John, his computer is up and running again. I've been to his shop a few times in the last couple months. He's doing good. He's working on Merc Flathead. Talked to him yesterday.

Hey guys. Got the putter back, it still isn't working right, wife is taking it back Monday. Thanks John for the flywheel, haven't had a chance to look at them yet, thanks Mark for bringing up the flywheels and other things, had a good time talking to you and your friend, we can talk flatheads and racing all day in my man cave. Building a 42-48 pickup 3 speed trans, open drive shaft, while waiting to get Merc crank for my crank grinder. Wife calling, supper on table. Thanks guys. Walt

When our old desktop computer crapped out last summer, I looked into getting it fixed. In the end I ended up buying a refurbished unit from Amazon for $115 (including shipping). We are definitely at the point where fixing these things doesn't make financial sense. The replacement was newer and faster, and already had the updated operating system installed and ready to go. I just plugged in my monitor, speakers, printer, mouse, and keyboard and was up and running. I wouldn't be buying stock in any PC repair companies.
