I would use Fordbarn, HAM, and AHOOGA since they are all free

Charlie, remember sometimes you get what you pay for.

True Ronn!

Just to cause a grin, some might argue; Well what about all of the FaceBook Model-A pages that you can advertise a car on? Those are free too, and while that is true ...IMO there is a huge hidden cost of advertising there. From what I see, on almost every post all of the 'arm-chair appraisers' seemingly come out and publicly voice their opinion on what something is worth. For example, someone can list a freshly restored, semi-professionally done 1931 DeLuxe Phaeton (180A) for $60k ...and the 'appraisers' fill the comment section with opinions such as how the Phaeton is overpriced since they bought a Coupe for $6,000.00 and their car is worth just as much as this DeLuxe Phaeton is. Or, you read opinions about how over priced a vehicle is, -or how unauthentic the 180A in the ad is because it is a Tudor Sedan with the top hacked off of it. So is it truly free advertising on social media sites??

I've used Hemmings for high end cars and the HAMB (same owner as FordBarn).

If you know what you want to get out of it then list it here or on Facebook sites with your asking price.

If you're not sure what to ask then Ebay or Hemmings Auctions are your way.

I too get tired of everyone chiming in on a for sale post on Facebook. The more well maintained Model A sites, like MARC's, are also annoyed by it and do a good job moderating comments on a listing. If someone comments with something out of the scope of your listing then ask one of the Admins to remove it.

Guessing these Purdy's cars you're helping with?

I bought one Model A on eBay, sold two on there. My avatar I bought on MAFCA and sold on eBay. I bought my latest Model A on Hemmings (classified, not auction).

I'm not sure if there is a "best" way to list. Realistically, you're looking for a single buyer, and you may find them on here, on eBay, or Facebook.

If I were selling, I'd spread the word as far as I could and put the listing in as many places as are allowable. It doesn't hurt, and aside from armchair appraisers on Facebook, it's shouldn't be painful.

I would start with both the MARC and MAFCA websites. They are free to members. You can't beat that.
