Wood Block Question 31 CCP

Hi All,
With the wood blocks installed for a 31 CCP roughly how much of a gap is there from the bottom of the cab to the top of frame. The gap with the wood block installed is between for me is 3/4” to 1” roughly. Seems like that is too much and does not look right. Do you have to sand down the blocks to make the cab sit flush on the rails?
