If I install a original pop out switch with my new modern set up (no points etc) will it work or should I go with modern ignition switch?

Are you sure? I have an original pop out switch installed in my car, and I have a modern distributor still in its shipping box. To me, it looks like modern or old, the distributor would connect the same way. I don’t see how the modern distributor would “know” what kind of switch would be in use. There is only one (armored cable) connection between the pop out switch and the distributor. What am I missing?

So my modern distributor should work with a pop out switch?

Is the FSI Zipper electronic ignition?
