I ended up ordering a case through eBay and hold down hardware through Shoebox Central

More Battery options ,the steel bracket is a modified , using the lugs that came with it ,

Ammo cans? I'm guessing a block of wood would be better and less ratty. Optima's can also be laid on it's side. Well really upside down. No fluid to contend with.

Latest in the battery adventures...I got a case off of ebay per a forum member's suggestion (perfect!), then ordered the factory hold down kit from Shoebox Central and stupidly I did not account for the taller optima battery so I picked up some generic hold down rods which I need to cut then I'll post the results
Hard to believe it's taking this much time just to get the battery right
