Not of any relevance to this discussion, but has to do with the taking apart and not getting put back together stuff:
I have a neighbor who has a very large shop and I was invited to see a 26 Model T coupe that he owns. The car is actually together, but doesn't run, and needs a ton of work. But the real story is the other accumulated stuff that will never be assembled in his lifetime: An early 30's Ryan aircraft, totally disassembled, including the 5 or 7 cylinder radial engine. Another stack (6 total) of surplus WW2 radials engines. all with less than 150 hours on each (Navy certified). And two other aircraft in pieces. None of any of it is for sale. Kinda sad |
