1950 Radiator Question
Not sure if I'm missing something but does the radiator for a 1950 need to have the air purged to fill completely?

Re: 1950 Radiator Question
Yes. Fill it with coolant and let it settle to allow trapped air to "bubble out" to the surface. Then refill. Or, fill radiator with coolant with engine running. The thermostat will open and coolant level will drop as flow increases. Then fill to capacity with engine running.

And if so equipped, move heater temp. control to full on/hot.

Re: 1950 Radiator Question
Ok thanks...thought I was missing something...I did not see anything in the Green Bible
This forum is great...it's active which is the key...I'm sure I'll have alot more dumb questions as I learn about this car (it was my Dad's)

Re: 1950 Radiator Question
Don't fill the radiator to the top. About one inch over the tank top is plenty and will allow for expansion.
