Default Running boards, 1930 Tudor

Stocking up on essentials before I start fixing up my Dailey driver but decided to replace my running boards. There are a lot available but looking for the best ones to buy, this is a Daily driver so just looking to make the best bang for my $$$$

Interesting that there are a lot available. I would have thought that such a specialty item as Model A sheet metal might be produced by one or two manufactures at the most. For example, Brattons and Synders have 1930 boards available at the exact same price, so I suspect they come from the same manufacturer.

My spelling may be a little off but I have used running boards made by Rootleib and at the time they were said to be the best .

Just so that you know, changing out running boards on a 1930 is MUCH more involved as the body must be lifted. You might want to consider just replacing the rubber mat if that is an option for you. That in itself is a chore too, but easier to do with one person vs. lifting the body.

Even on the front fenders on an original 1930, the body must be lifted to remove the fender from the chassis. This is because the running board is integral with the body apron, as is the front fender is integral to part of the body apron.

Not sure what these are, they look like it’s just the flat part? Any advice would be appreciated.
