Default 1935-1937 ford pickup door glass channel

I am collecting the parts to install the door glass in my pickup.
These lower felt u-channels insert into the steel channel inside the door. My doors were not complete, so I am looking for two of the metal clips (circled) that rivet onto the channel.
Probably common to different Ford models too......noting these are very thin steel clips.
Thanks!

It is not clear to me what you are looking for.

Are you looking for the rest of the attachment for the parts pictured? if so there should be a sheet metal spade (or spike) at the bottom of the internal retaining channel in the door that holds the bottom of those felt channels.

Are you looking to make up a pair of channels like the ones pictured? The clips for the bottom of the 1932 cowl lacing are a good start... they will need to have a little more "notch" filed into the sides at the top. We stock them.

Pretty sure 32-37 pickups use the same attachment clip.

I think Model A uses the same. Also the 32 hood weatherstrip. 32 hood uses 8.

I found a partial clip and compared it to a hood lace clip. They are made from a thinner steel to keep the felt u-channel seated in the steel channel that it fits into. A thicker clip would raise that area up creating a proud area in the track that the glass rides in.

Just thought if some one has a couple of take offs that it would save making them.

Tim,
If I understand your situation correctly, those tabs are part of an assembly which was welded to the door at the factory so you might be stuck fabricating something. The other side of the door should have a removable (four screws) channel slides. These have similar shaped hooks to use a model.

Dave, the clips I have circled above are what I was interested in acquiring. They are riveted to the short felt u-channels.

Tim,
Sorry, I should have looked more closely at the images you posted. I suggest that you either fabricate clips and rivet them to your channel or find a supplier willing to sell you these two strips. I purchased a set of glass runs for my doors from Carpenter or Drake and it came with four strips for each door which included the ones you pictured. I'm willing to take measurements if you want to fab them yourself.

Thanks Dave,
My felt will be here today, it was a long shot.
They aren't a complex part....I will make a template from alum. flashing and fabricate it from steel.

Tim,

Attached is a picture from my book of the four pieces needed to provide a good run for the glass in a '35-'37 pickup or big truck door.

Great illustration. I am looking forward to getting my copy.
I was fortunate to find Ford NOS 50-811832 & 833 channels.
The doors/cab is an early style, but the components are the same as the other styles which I will learn more about in your publication.
Thanks again.
