Default You can never have too many Flatheads

I just got back with my latest find. The 8ba is the Industrial motor I mentioned in an earlier thread. It has an early style 3 speed trans, with an open drive, and no serial number on the trans(never seen one of these).

The second block is also very strange to me. A BIG 331 Cubic Inch flathead. I've seen pictures, but this is the first one I've come accross.
I'ts pretty rough, but the block/crank may be salvagable. I mainly got it for it's uniqueness.

The second photo looks like a 337 cubic inch flathead used in 49-51 Lincolns and some trucks. They weigh a lot more than the 59AB or 8BA. Explore this at your leisure.

I stand corrected, 337 Cubic inches. I just checked the date code on the 8BA, and it is A 26 M, which is April 26, 1950. The Lincoln motor is too heavy for me to flip over to check the date code.

Any idea what year the trans is?

49 - 52 Pickup?

That'd be my guess. Good trans. Later synchro's, wider fork, twin detents, good case, and can be rebuilt to closed drive if you want.

Mart.

Yea, I started looking it up in my Book from Mac VP. I opened it up to look at the gears, a little water got in, but they still turn freely and do not appear to be damaged.
