update on leaking zenith carb
several days ago i asked for help on my leaking zenith crab and tried the suggestion that members sent in without sucess. in my original post i mentioned that the new valve body i put in was lower than what was in there. it took 2 washers to get it to the5/8 inch level but still leaked. When i purchased the valve body i also bought the shim washers so i put in a thin(grey)washer and that stopped the leaking. i was surprised that one thin washer would make that much difference. thanks for everyones help.

Re: update on leaking zenith carb
I would be real surprised if it was the washer... more likely that the needle or ball finally seated ( or some debris moved out of the seat area)

So lowering the level of the fuel could stop the leak. Good Day! |
