Default Gas Gauge Cork or neoprene gaskets?

I am going to order parts to replace my non-working gas gauge in my Model A.
Any thoughts and or experiences with the gaskets?
Cork or neoprene?
The the last video I watched of Paul Shinn, he used cork.
I know there are hundreds of you out there with your own opinions and experiences which I value too!
Also does the neoprene float work?
I am tempted to get the brass float that Mike's Affordable sells.
What are your thoughts?
Thank you in advance.

I have used both neoprene and brass float, no issues with either. Cork gaskets and quite pleased with them. I spread a thin layer of Hylomar Blue on the gaskets, and use two lightly oiled brass rings as well.

You need to be sure and use the brass rings…avoids binding and distorting gaskets
I’ve used both types of gaskets successfully…prefer cork but can’t tell u exactly why!!

Cork gaskets with a light coating of Maple Syrup. Unaffected by today's gasoline components and make a good seal.
