You will probably be happier with a small block. Nothing wrong with the 400, but a lot of the older Fords get the small blocks swapped in for a good reason. Aftermarket really stepped up and the engine was in production longer. 351/400 lasted 11 years and the small block lasted 40 years.

I have received the diagrams from KULTULZ and I thank him for the effort and info.

I have scanned the diagrams on to my computer and cleaned them up a bit. The pdfs are attached.
EDIT: The site would not upload the pdfs - something about a "security token". If anyone knows what that is in English let me know

The paper copies I have are available to anyone who wants them, just PM the address you want them sent to.

They cover the following Ford / Lincoln / Mercury cars:
68 – 72 Disc Brake Detail
70 & 71 Disc Brake System
65 – 72 Front Suspension
67 – 69 Steering
