Default Slant Window wiper Installation

Is there a special spacer surrounding the wiper shaft that passes thru the wood header, and if so, does the wiper compress on the interior fabric header panel or somehow on the spacer to prevent the wiper from rotating ?

no spacer the wiper motor is pulled up tight to the interior header panel. I have found that under the outside header cover there was a felt seal. I use a small rubber washer and a stainless washer and a chrome nut to seal the shaft where it comes out of the header cover.

I would like to see pictures of the wiper from inside the car and outside the car. My Slant Window TS has no wiper at all just the hole on the outside metal piece above the window.

Here are your pictures. They are from my unrestored Victoria. The wiper would be the same on a 160 sedan

I think what I’ve seen on old unrestored cars was an outside lead or pot metal type washer
But no pic documentation
