Squeeze-in at least this much or more....way more than you would ever think! You can't use too much. Throw your needles away and slop it on with your hand(s)! Definitely use the GREEN CORNHEAD Grease...not this red goop. Coop

The Dash, Hot Water Heater are currently out of it during new Wiring Harness project.
Some it was a good time.

Not much time recently to get after getting the 39’ back on the road . But this morning was able to install the replacement Firewall Pad permanently. After many test fits.
Having a Ford 39’ hot water heater added a bit of work. Replacement Pad had knockout for hot exhaust heat , but none for hot water heat. Old Pad was so wore out, no way to get measurements off it.
New Pad being thick ABS there was no way to come from cowl towards dash with a Awl. But now it done. 3562977D-8A37-431C-9E01-75606797EFBF.jpg

Take it project to project. Looks like you are moving forward.

The old saying... how do you eat a train? bit for bite.

Every bit of work will get you forward. When your done, get ready to start over again. .

Thanks Dude.
I would like to give “ Quite Ride Solutions “ a good shout. Only one I could resource a new 39’ Pass Car Firewall Pad from. Good phone conversations to confirm they could deliver said product. It took awhile, little short of their estimated delivery time.
Not cheap by any means. But the time to resource a new pad was now.

Ever go to put a new pot metal gear in the Windshield crank out mechanism, and get the gears out of wack ?

So I seems years ago someone reached under dash and globed a hand full of some type of grease on windshield gears. It was hard as a rock , so I took it apart to soak in parts cleaner.
Still fighting getting it correct. I have the arms in retracted position, evenly matched. Now attempting to get the Crank gear in proper position.
Any hints ?

On a 39’ passenger car. Front of Master Cylinder adjustment rod. There is a pin with shoulder that brake pedal return spring attaches to. Spring must go forward to pull pedal up. Question is where does the front of said spring attach to ?

Stretch,
This could be similar question John (42 Deluxe) has on his 42 and 48 cars??
Would it go to the same place? Need pictures of front spring attachment point.
Regards,
Chris

Got it , did a Google search adding “Fordbarn “ and found pictures. It seems that some Dummy kind of recently put a Zip Tie in the hole to secure Speedo Cable.
Thanks, Stretch
