Walt was my friend, and my hot rod is powered by a Walt DuPont flathead
A big loss to the old car family…

Just a suggestion, when we lost a well regarded member on another forum there were some that used the legacy site to provide a tribute car show.

I met Walt probably over 10 years ago at that year’s Gathering of the Faithful in Massachusetts. We’d hear from him every year or so when he needed a part that we had. I always enjoyed sharing old Ford stuff with him. Shelly and I wish to offer our condolences to Rockie and the rest of the family.

Walt will long be remembered here for the technical insight he so freely gave.
Godspeed Walt.

Oh no. Like Don Rogers, I did not know him personally but have learned a lot from his postings, and especially the video of him sharing his knowledge of flathead oiling. Rest in peace Walt.

X2 Also a God bless and thank you to Rockie. Some years ago on two different occasions I drove up to Vermont, picked up Ron and drove us to Gardiner. We got a couple different hotel rooms and spent the days with Walt and his friend Ken and then Thursday evenings at Anslie,s. Cars and engines were discussed and life stories were shared and I got to play Walt's Martin. I'll always be grateful to Walt and Rockie. PS Walt always spoke highly of Uncle Max.

Rest in Peace Walt!!

So glad I got to meet him and his wife Rockie some years ago during a Barner's Tour of New England.
