Default Water Pump - How to tell which one I have?

Hi all - in reviewing how to lubricate the Model A, everything says that you MAY have to lubricate the water pump, depending on which one you have. But nowhere that I can see does anyone tell you how to determine which one you have and whether you have to put grease in 1, 2, or 0 fittings. Is there a quick way to figure this out?

Thanks in advance.

If the fitting will take grease give it a little. If not and is not a dummy, clean it out and give a squirt. If it is not meant to have grease it won't take any.

That is why I gave a down and dirty solution that did not care what waterpump he had without thorough examination. Gary, I do like the pumps in the article.

Thanks Gary - great info on pumps, but doesn't show the whole pump itself. I'm going to do as J Franklin suggests. Thanks!
