Re: 2021 Mileage
Didn't count accurately but somewhere around 8,000 miles. I can't see that it matters while we are having fun.

Re: 2021 Mileage
Fitz, The vehicle you passed, was it a bicycle, 1961 VW Bus, or 1958 Mercedes 180 Diesel? Or maybe a Yugo?

Re: 2021 Mileage
I am planning on doing a long distance drive this coming spring, I am of that age where if I don't do it now it will remain on my "I wish I had wish list"
My Questions are; * Did you do it alone ie. single car * What sort of spare parts and tools did you take * Did you take along a MAFCA membership list and did you use it. * What is your mechanical ability, mine is suspect if none at all. * WHAT WAS YOUR AVERAGE MILEAGE PER DAY, I know it depends on car / drivers comfort factor ie. sitting for long periods of time * Did you have any break downs, how easy was it to handle on the road * What is the best tip you would give someone when starting out on a Model A adventure A little bit about my car; * I have 5000 miles on a rebuilt engine with a 5.6 high compression head * Relatively new rear end, 358 * I choose not to have a synchro mesh transmission, not a purist. I just love double clutching and making a nice smooth shift. I do not have a high low split transmission. My electrical system is 6 volt with an alternator. I have put close to 20,000 miles in the 5 years I have owned it. Overall I believe the car is in good condition. Any suggestions, thoughts or must knows i would appreciate. Gerry Allen Birch Bay Wa |

Re: 2021 Mileage
2021 was the first year of our Model A ownership experience. Actually it arrived Christmas day 2020. I drove it 1250 miles. I figure that isnt too bad for a newbie!

Re: 2021 Mileage
When I drove to Dearborne in 2020, I went out with a fellow club member and we decided that we could do 30 miles distance is 1 hour (on secondary roads - no interstates), which included stopping for gas and refreshments. Depending how conformable your car is, this determines how many miles you travel each day (30 mile every hour X number of hours you drive that day).
