I had to write and praise C&G Early Ford parts of Cal. and this time USPS also. Wed. morning I order 6 door hinges screws & nuts & 4 caged nuts. Shipping was only $5.50 and I live in Va and could not believe they where at the post office today. WOW Thanks to C&G and the USPS.

I've posted the same compliment in the past myself. These guys have a real customer service ethic.

Re: Praise To C&G Early Ford Parts & USPS
Seems like a lot of vendors are using USPS for shipping (the flat rate boxes are a super good deal). My only problem is with the guys that charge you UPS or Fedex rates, and ship it USPS and pocket the difference.
This really causes me problems, because I pick my mail up at my P.O. box in town. A lot of the shipping software out there thinks they are using UPS and eliminates the P.O. Box from the shipping address automatically. In he last year, I'll bet I've had half a dozen packages that were returned or stuck in the back room because the address was "no good". |

Been using C&G since '95 and have never been disappointed. Kyle at C&G is super to deal with.

I believe Fedex, and possibly UPS, transport USPS packages to a regional distribution center. From there it goes to your sort facility for delivery. So some of the thanks should be spread around..

I have bought a lot of parts of them for years and they always have been very helpful and their freight prices are right too and they keep in touch with me with their emails.

How do you get C&G Early Ford Parts. I've never used them. Do they have a catalog? Thanks Walt

Re: Praise To C&G Early Ford Parts & USPS
As opposed to Bob Drake; I placed an order online with him 2 weeks ago, and nothing has happened! I've emailed twice with absolutely no response, phoned some mort, "Lisa', at the front desk twice, and just get fobbed off by her. Absolute crap customer relations.
I actually phoned C&G about supplying what I needed, got through straight away, they play good music and were real helpful, but alas, they only stocked vintique brand of what I'm after, which is more crap!!, so could not place an order with them this time. I have previously posted on here about the excellent service I've received from Jim at Red's Headers, prior to that it was James at Joblot, sadly, no longer with us: I believe in posting the appropriate feedback, good and bad, to both the vendor involved, also on this forum. Rant over, Brian

Re: Praise To C&G Early Ford Parts & USPS
I just bought some field coils from C&G. Turns out they were the wrong ones. Fault on both sides. Easy to return. I am out the shipping both ways, but that's the way it goes. Quick ship using USPS.
Those flat rate boxes are great. I have shipped four or more Model A shocks in the medium boxes. Such a deal. You can also set up an accpunt and print the label at home and just drop off at the PO. I think they might even pick up. |
