Radiator hoses
My new to me 31 was loaded in California today. I will pick it up in Austin, TX. on Saturday. As they were loading one of the hoses had a leak. They did drain out some water a put a gallon of antifreeze in. I like to keep all stock appearing, so what color should the hoses be? I see Bert's has black w/red stripe and all red ones. I would guess that the black one is correct. I'll post pics when I get the car. We are having our annual Fiesta de La Feria celebration the 28th and also our Centennial. For a town of 6800 we had 200 cars last year.

Re: Radiator hoses
The hose may be fine with a loose clamp. Don't start figuring to replace parts till you get to know your purchase.

Re: Radiator hoses
Black with red stripe is what you want.

During an oil change I needed to replace the plug gasket. The price at the big boys sent me into sticker stock. Now when I order I include the many incidentals.

Re: Radiator hoses
If the hose just has a leak he can wrap some tape around it and go for a drive. Since there is no pressure that will work fine. I've done it myself. He has 10 days before the event to order and receive hoses.
