Default small braided grounding stap under dash in 35

There is a small braided 1/4 inch wide by 3 inch long grounding stap with a small socket end on it screwed to the drivers side inside cowl seam. there was nothing connected to it when I got the car. What is this for ? Thanks.

That strap is the ground to the coaxial cable for the radio antenna in the roof. (chicken wire)

Hi Guys.. I have that braided strap with the connection for the radio in my 1934 Ford 4 Dr comes down from the chicken wire in the roof... Where do I find an adapter from this internal radio antenna to my Radio, I have the standard radio connection fitting on the Radio, and it has the feature of 6 or 12 volt and pos or neg ground. thanks in advance ...
