Default Oiler Bottle with Stainless Needle Tip

I ran across this product, and I thought I would share the reference. I put fresh engine oil in it, and it is very handy for oiling the drilled distributor cam screw, the distributor “pull out” chamber on the side (for lack of a better name), the linkage on the back of the engine, and lots of other places. The plastic bottle seems to be immune to motor oil—I’ve had oil in it for about a year without any leaks.

Good for the horn too, and for oiling under a nut that you’re tightening down.

I found the bottles a couple of years ago. I give them to my Model A customers with a lifetime refill guarantee. I am getting old so the warranty is not as good as it sounds. Some I fill with seeing machine oil. The wives love them. I have gone thru almost a gallon of sewing machine oil.
I also found a slightly bigger one with a 3” stem. Great for doing oil buttons on the lathe and other similar machinery. I mark bottles so I can determine what type of oil is in the bottle. Cutting oil, way oil, 30 weight whatever. If using on oil buttons a pice of wire is needed to open the button, then inject the oil.
Also great to lube the vacuum wiper with a shot of your favorite lube.

Thanks Shew01, that looks like it will make the oiling job a bit less messy and more accurate to the aim. I added it to my "to get" list. Thanks for sharing the info and the link.

They work great around the tiny parts of a Model A, mostly the distributor, where you don't want an "over oiling" job. Great for old electric trains too. I've been buying "Liquid Bearings", comes in those needle oiler bottles. It is 100% synthetic oil that won't gum up over time.
