Default 1936 truck animal

SO Im at the gas station filling up my 39 truck couple weeks ago ,an a guy comes over an we start talkin. his dad has some old Fords ,,you know how it goes . He told me where his dad lives and its right down the road. So Wednesday I drive down and find the house. First thing I see is a 61 Ford picup up the hill by his barn and that starts the conversation. The guys name is Rick. 88 years young He was in the CBs during WWII and spent time in Germany During and after the war. "THEY were really good at making machines",he said "And I learned allot while I was there" ! He needed a logging truck when he got home to clear his land so he made one

when I first saw the inner hubs I thought it was belt driven or somthing then I realized its duel wheel front and back. Another 36 rearend runs the cable winches that run EVERTHING . The more I looked ,the more I liked it . big boom ,pjsh blade . I wondered who built it ? HE DID. I wanted to get a photo of the engine but I think I might have been overwelming him with MY excitement !

what "yankee ingenuity" I also would like to see the engine. Mike you need to add to the collection. the local machine shop had a boom truck to use in the yard built out of channel iron with a flathead 59ab running everything, used mack truck axles and ford transmissions-- at least three that I could see. wish I had taken pictures
