Re: What is the hardest Model A accessory to find
I managed to nab a fumaze on ebay for $65 last week. Why it went so low I don't know. I was planning on using a Model B oil tube but now stock plus fumaze.

Re: What is the hardest Model A accessory to find
Congratulations. I like the looks of the Fumaze better than the model B oil tube. I missed two on eBay a few weeks ago. the first was rough and the bidding ended early. The second looked good but was chrome plated, I figuered I would paint it black. I put in a bid but was out bid on the second day. The bid was up to seventy something dollars and I planned to come back at the last minute with the winning bid. As luck would have it the mother board went out on my computor before I could bid again.

Re: What is the hardest Model A accessory to find
Actually have this and wanted to install it for a nice cigar on a drive but cant for the life of me figure out how it installs on the column and would not be too practical to light your cigar from the way it works with pressure??

Re: What is the hardest Model A accessory to find
You know that it comes apart, right? You push it in to get contact with the electricity, and when the coil gets hot, you can lift the whole black circular piece off the holder, and to your cigar, where ever it may be. I don't think that's too hard or inconvenient...

Re: What is the hardest Model A accessory to find
It took me 18 months to find a Fumaze for the oil filler. It was in bad shape but it cleaned up great. I had to make the mounting strap.

Re: What is the hardest Model A accessory to find
It looks good !!! Mine was real rough. After looking at one on eBay a few weeks ago, I could see enough detail to make the latch that goes on the top cap, it helped a lot. Now I don't have to use a small screwdriver or pocket knife to open it. I'll have to update my picture.

Re: What is the hardest Model A accessory to find
Not confined just to the Model A, but original bud vases are hard to find. I started collecting them 40 years ago and have 37. Some are pairs and some with brackets. If someone would like to post a picture for me send PM. Thanks, Joe Young Slapout, AL

Re: What is the hardest Model A accessory to find
Would the cigar lighter be wired to the ammeter post?
I'm stunned that Jim didn't wrap it up as a Chirstmas gift for me. He knows I love cigars! |

Re: What is the hardest Model A accessory to find
Actually i was going to wire it to the ignition post or the left post on the fire wall connections. i am still trying to figure out the best way to mount it in the car and close to the steering column..

Re: What is the hardest Model A accessory to find
I never had this apart and do not have a key
but I think when you turn the key it inserts a pin in a hole in the steering rod. |
