How much would these type of Spark plug Radio suppressors restrict the current to the spark plugs on a 6volt Ford V8 ignition system. Is there any other type available, or is it not recommended, with that type of original radio on FM.

They were used for cars equipped with AM radios. Years ago, I had a set of eight for use in my '34, but as I recall, they didn't work very good. I don't think they were necessary for noise suppression for FM radios...

Normally you won't need any external suppression for FM unless you want to listen to stations in the next county.
Adequate suppression for AM in a vintage car can be a real can of worms sometimes.
The amount of current reduction for a given plug type suppressor will depend on the internal resistance. They vary all over the place. It is just trial and error to see if it works.

I have suppressors fitted on each spark plug on my original 1934 Ford V8. They are required to eliminate the RF (radio frequency noise) in my original glove box radio and work fine without any problems with the spark. The suppressors I have are right angle type shown in the radio section of the Ford factory service bulletins MAY-JUNE 1934 page 188. The engine would not even know they were there. I see them listed on ebay . Regards, Kevin.

I suggest disconnecting generator to see if might also be causing some noise. For stock point ignitions, suppression plug wires work fine.
