Default My ‘37 Model 79 Truck lives again!

This has been a 6 year project.

Trying to keep it as close to original as possible mechanically.

Not gonna paint it, but sound deadened and sealed the cab as much as possible from the engine compartment.

Starts and runs great, special thanks to Duece_Roadster for setting up my distributor a few years back. I just have to bump the key and it fires up.

Another thread talks about oil pressure…I have 36 at start up and 28-30 at temp.

Still lots to do, but I’m gaining ground fast now!

I like your truck. Let me know if you need any help. The '35-'36 truck book should answer most questions.

Great to hear from you and see your progress! Your interior looks really nice and I'm wondering where you got your floor mat from. I am a big fan of your truck and the manner in which you are rehabilitating it, so just keep on Truckin' along and don't change a thing.

Another day of gains…got all the front sheet metal installed, mechanical brakes adjusted, fluids all up to snuff and the bed aligned and adjusted for final location.

It starts, runs, drives and stops under its own power now.

Next up is new door glass, all the felt channels, headliner and finish out the interior panels.

Can’t remember where I bought the floor mat, I’ll check and update. But it fit really well with only minor trimming. It came with no holes whatsoever, so it’s a tedious job to fit it.

ETA...the floor mat came from 3rd gen Automotive. It's for a '38-'47 but their ad says it can be trimmed to fit '34-'37. Think it was right around $175.
