Default 36 frame restoration question

Hello!
I'm trying to restore a 1936 frame back to original as close as I can. When adding new cross braces or other parts of the frame, do you try to use rivets like Ford did back in the day? Or do something different? If rivets are used, any suggestions on installation tricks or a special tool which I probably don't have.
Thanks
Mark

I use a hydraulic c-clamp for riveting the frames.
Heated rivets and an airhammer works but you got to be fast !

Rivets for sure. All frames will flex, making bolts wear thin because there's no way they can be as tight as rivets.
