Default 3 x spark plugs

Hello, I purchased some boxes of model A parts, And included were four 3 x champion spark plugs still in the boxes and rapped in the wax type paper. They look like Nos. I know that these are now being reproduced and are very authentic to the originals. Just wanting to know if there is a way to tell originals from the after markets. Thank you. ..Mike

Besides the 3, reproduction bases have a fine internal knurl with 2 unknurled bands.

Bases with the correct coarse knurl and no bands are available from the parts dealers.

Here's a little trivia for you;

Ever notice on the BOX of a NOS 3X spark plug the "3" has a flat top while on the Repro BOX the "3" has a round top? The opposite what the plugs have. Weird, eh?
